Terms & Conditions

Dads Like Me

Last updated: 18 October 2026

1. Operator and Application

Dads Like Me is operated by Warrick Zipp T/A Dads Like Me, an individual sole proprietor based in South Africa.

These Terms & Conditions govern access to www.dadslikeme.com and use of its publicly available articles, newsletters and educational resources.

When digital products become available, additional purchase-related provisions will apply to relevant transactions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory legal rights.

2. Website Purpose

Dads Like Me shares personal experiences, articles and educational information intended to support fathers navigating chronic illness, chronic pain, disability, medical trauma, mental health challenges and family responsibilities.

The website does not provide professional medical or psychological treatment.

Please read our Medical & Mental Health Disclaimer.

3. Eligibility

The website is primarily intended for adults.

Customers purchasing future products must have legal capacity to enter into binding transactions or act through an appropriately authorised person where required.

4. Privacy and Personal Information

Ordinary visitors do not need to identify themselves to read publicly available articles.

Personal information is primarily provided through newsletter subscriptions, enquiries and future digital purchases.

Wix may maintain subscriber and contact records and process website-related technical information.

When payments are enabled, Wix and Peach Payments may process customer and transaction information.

Please consult our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original articles, guides, worksheets, graphics and other content belong to Dads Like Me or their respective rights holders.

Visitors may access publicly available material for lawful personal purposes.

Unauthorised commercial reproduction, resale or redistribution is prohibited, subject to applicable copyright exceptions.

6. Future Digital Product Sales

Dads Like Me does not currently offer digital products for purchase.

When digital products become available, customers will receive material information about the product, price, delivery method and applicable terms before completing an order.

Digital products will ordinarily be licensed for personal, non-commercial use.

Purchasing a product will not transfer copyright ownership.

7. Digital Products and Final Sales

Digital products cannot ordinarily be returned in the same way as physical goods.

Once a digital product has been supplied or made accessible, the customer may retain a usable copy even if the purchase price is refunded.

Accordingly, digital products will generally be treated as final-sale items once supplied or made accessible, subject to mandatory consumer cancellation rights, statutory remedies and any expressly approved exception.

Dads Like Me does not ordinarily offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds after digital supply.

This restriction exists because digital delivery is generally irreversible, not to prevent customers from receiving legally required remedies for defective, incorrect or undelivered products.

Our Refund & Digital Products Policy provides the full conditions.

8. Checkout Acceptance and Immediate Delivery

Before digital product sales commence, Dads Like Me intends to implement appropriate checkout acknowledgements.

Customers will be required to affirmatively accept the applicable purchase terms.

Where legally required, customers will separately consent to immediate digital delivery and acknowledge any resulting loss of a statutory withdrawal right.

Relevant acknowledgements must not be preselected and must be recorded or confirmed where required.

Acceptance of these Terms does not waive statutory rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

9. Product Information and Pricing

Before purchase, we aim to provide accurate descriptions of digital products and disclose relevant prices, currencies, charges, delivery arrangements and material restrictions.

Customers retain applicable rights where products are defective, misdescribed or not supplied as agreed.

10. Payment Processing

When digital sales begin, payments are intended to be processed through Peach Payments, integrated with Wix.

Available payment methods and currencies will depend on the activated checkout configuration.

Customers must provide accurate information reasonably necessary to complete lawful transactions.

Fraudulent or unlawful transactions may be declined, subject to applicable law.

11. Electronic Transactions

Where applicable, electronic transactions will be conducted in accordance with South Africa's Electronic Communications and Transactions Act and relevant international consumer protection legislation.

Required supplier information, opportunities to review and correct orders, contractual disclosures and purchase confirmations must be provided where legally required.

12. Digital Delivery

Digital products will ordinarily be supplied electronically after successful payment.

The applicable delivery method and any relevant access restrictions will be disclosed before purchase.

Customers retain statutory remedies where delivery fails or products do not conform to applicable requirements.

13. Refunds and Cancellations

The Refund & Digital Products Policy governs discretionary refunds and the procedures for requesting assistance.

Mandatory cancellation, withdrawal and digital-content remedies take precedence over conflicting contractual restrictions.

14. Newsletter Communications

Newsletter subscriptions are voluntary.

We will comply with applicable electronic marketing requirements and provide legally required unsubscribe mechanisms.

A visitor's use of the website does not itself constitute consent to receive marketing.

15. Acceptable Use

Visitors must not:

• Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

• Attempt unauthorised access to website systems.

• Introduce malicious software.

• Interfere with website security or functionality.

• Harass, threaten or abuse others.

• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.

• Submit unlawful or intentionally misleading material.

We may take proportionate action against misuse, subject to applicable law.

16. Communications and Submissions

Visitors may voluntarily submit enquiries or messages.

Information included in communications may be processed to respond and for other lawful, disclosed purposes.

Submitting a private message does not grant permission to publish an identifiable personal story.

Visitors should avoid sending unnecessary medical records or other highly sensitive information.

17. External Links and Commercial Relationships

The website may link to independent organisations, research, services or products.

Third-party websites may operate under separate terms and privacy policies.

Material sponsorship or affiliate relationships will be disclosed where legally required.

18. Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Content

Some content may be researched, drafted or edited with assistance from artificial intelligence.

AI-assisted material may contain inaccuracies or omissions.

Important medical and other consequential information should be independently verified.

19. Website Availability

We aim to maintain a reliable and accessible website but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical failures or third-party services.

Where paid services are affected, applicable consumer remedies remain available.

20. Warranties and Liability

General educational content is provided without a guarantee that it will suit every visitor's circumstances or produce a particular outcome.

To the extent permitted by law, Dads Like Me disclaims liability for inappropriate reliance on general educational information.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Mandatory consumer guarantees and remedies remain unaffected.

21. International Visitors

Dads Like Me operates from South Africa and may be accessed internationally.

Applicable mandatory privacy, consumer protection and other legal requirements will be respected.

Worldwide accessibility does not mean that every future product or service may lawfully be supplied in every jurisdiction.

22. Governing Law

Subject to mandatory consumer protections and applicable jurisdictional rules, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Nothing deprives consumers of mandatory rights or access to legally competent courts and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

23. Dispute Resolution

Visitors and future customers are encouraged to contact Dads Like Me to seek a practical resolution of concerns.

Nothing requires consumers to surrender mandatory statutory remedies, regulatory complaint rights or access to competent courts.

24. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated as our services or legal obligations change.

Updates will not retrospectively remove contractual or statutory rights attached to completed transactions.

25. Severability

If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be ineffective only to the extent required by applicable law.

The remaining provisions will continue where legally possible.
