Refund & Digital Products Policy

Dads Like Me

Last updated: 18 October 2026

1. Introduction

Dads Like Me is operated by Warrick Zipp T/A Dads Like Me, a South African sole proprietor.

This policy establishes the terms that will apply when downloadable digital products are offered for purchase.

Dads Like Me does not currently offer digital products for sale. These provisions are being published in preparation for future product launches.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or overrides mandatory consumer rights.

2. Products Covered

Future products may include:

• Downloadable PDF guides.

• Ebooks.

• Printable worksheets.

• Checklists.

• Other digital educational resources.

These products are intended for general educational and personal use.

They are not medical treatments or personalised clinical services.

3. Why Digital Products Are Generally Final Sale

Digital products differ fundamentally from physical goods.

Once a downloadable file has been supplied or accessed, the customer may retain a usable copy indefinitely. Returning the purchase price does not necessarily remove that copy or prevent its continued use.

For this reason, and to protect the legitimate commercial value of the content, digital products are generally final-sale items once supplied or made accessible, except where a cancellation, refund or other remedy is required by applicable law or expressly approved by Dads Like Me.

This policy is based on the nature of digital delivery. It is not intended to prevent customers from obtaining assistance with genuine errors, defects or legally protected complaints.

4. No Discretionary Change-of-Mind Refunds After Supply

Subject to applicable mandatory law, Dads Like Me does not offer discretionary refunds, returns, exchanges or store credit for digital products already supplied or made accessible merely because a customer:

• Changes their mind.

• No longer needs or wants the product.

• Decides the material is not personally suitable.

• Purchases without reviewing the product description.

• Has downloaded, opened, saved, read or copied the file.

• Deletes the file after receiving it.

Deleting a digital file does not necessarily reverse delivery or remove copies already obtained.

A download or access event does not, by itself, extinguish a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right where applicable law provides otherwise.

5. Incorrect Products

Where Dads Like Me supplies the wrong product

If a customer receives a product different from the one ordered, they should contact warrick@dadslikeme.com promptly.

Where reasonably possible, we will correct the error by providing the product purchased.

Where required by law or appropriate in the circumstances, an exchange, cancellation or refund will be provided.

Statutory remedies for our delivery errors will not be made conditional on proving that the incorrect file was never opened.

Where a customer purchases the wrong product

If a customer accidentally selects the wrong product, they should contact us as soon as possible, preferably before accessing or downloading it.

Where the file has not been accessed and the circumstances can reasonably be verified, Dads Like Me may consider a discretionary exchange or correction.

Such discretionary arrangements do not create a general right to a change-of-mind refund and do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.

6. Defective, Corrupted or Inaccessible Products

Customers should contact us if a purchased digital product:

• Is not delivered.

• Cannot reasonably be accessed or downloaded.

• Is corrupted or technically defective.

• Is materially different from its description.

• Does not conform to applicable statutory requirements.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include corrected delivery, replacement, repair, price reduction, cancellation or refund.

The final-sale provisions do not exclude legally protected remedies.

7. Product Information Before Purchase

Before checkout, customers will be provided with material information required by applicable law, including:

• Product description and digital format.

• Price, currency and applicable charges.

• Delivery arrangements.

• Relevant technical or compatibility requirements.

• Applicable cancellation and refund conditions.

• Any download or access limitations.

Customers should review this information before placing an order.

8. Immediate Digital Delivery

Digital products will ordinarily be supplied electronically following successful payment.

Where legally permitted, customers may request immediate delivery.

In jurisdictions where beginning immediate supply may affect a statutory withdrawal right, the required express consent, acknowledgement and contractual confirmation must be obtained before relying on that consequence.

A download link being sent does not automatically prove that every legal condition for loss of a withdrawal right has been met.

9. Mandatory Checkout Acceptance

Before the first digital product is sold, Dads Like Me intends to configure checkout to require customers to affirmatively accept the applicable purchase terms and Refund & Digital Products Policy.

Where required by law, a separate acknowledgement will be obtained for immediate digital delivery and the possible loss of a statutory change-of-mind withdrawal right.

Checkboxes used for these purposes must not be preselected.

Where legally required, consent and acknowledgement must be recorded and confirmed to the customer.

No checkbox or contractual agreement can waive consumer rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.

10. Recommended Checkout Wording

Purchase Terms Acknowledgement

"I confirm that I have reviewed the product description, price and Refund & Digital Products Policy. I understand that digital products are generally non-refundable once supplied or made accessible, except where applicable law requires otherwise. I agree to the applicable purchase terms."

Immediate Digital Delivery Acknowledgement

"I expressly request and consent to immediate delivery of my digital purchase. I understand that, once digital supply begins, I may lose my statutory right to cancel for a change of mind where permitted by applicable law. I acknowledge this consequence and understand that my rights concerning defective, incorrect or undelivered products remain unaffected."

These acknowledgements must be implemented and tested before digital sales commence.

11. South African Consumer Rights

Where applicable, rights under South Africa's Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, Consumer Protection Act and other relevant legislation will be respected.

Statutory cooling-off rights and exceptions must be assessed according to the actual transaction and applicable law.

The fact that a digital file has been downloaded does not automatically establish that every statutory exception applies.

Nothing in this policy removes remedies for defective, misdescribed or undelivered products where the law protects them.

12. European Union Consumer Rights

Where EU consumer law applies, relevant distance-contract withdrawal rights and digital-content conformity remedies will be respected.

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, loss of a statutory withdrawal right may depend on legally valid prior express consent to immediate supply, acknowledgement of the resulting loss of that right and required contractual confirmation.

If those requirements have not been satisfied, Dads Like Me will not rely on the final-sale policy as a substitute for them.

13. United Kingdom Consumer Rights

Where UK consumer law applies, statutory cancellation rights and remedies for non-conforming digital content will be respected.

Any exception based on immediate digital delivery must satisfy the relevant legal requirements.

14. United States and Other International Customers

Applicable consumer protection laws concerning product descriptions, payment authorisation, delivery, cancellation and remedies will be respected.

Not every jurisdiction provides a general change-of-mind refund right for digital purchases.

Mandatory legal rights take precedence over conflicting policy wording.

15. Payment Processing

When digital products are launched, Dads Like Me intends to process payments through Peach Payments, integrated with Wix.

Wix and Peach Payments may process customer, billing, order and transaction information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Payment methods, currencies and checkout arrangements will be confirmed before sales commence.

16. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved or required by law, it will be processed through an appropriate supported payment method.

Peach Payments' published Wix integration documentation indicates that refunds may need to be processed separately from the Wix order-management interface.

Applicable statutory refund deadlines will be respected.

Where no statutory deadline applies, approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable period.

Banking and payment-provider processing may affect when funds become available.

17. How to Request Assistance

Customers may contact:

warrick@dadslikeme.com

Please provide the purchase email address, product name, approximate purchase date, order reference where available and a brief explanation of the issue.

Do not send complete payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

18. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers may contact us to seek a practical resolution.

Nothing restricts legally available chargeback rights, payment-provider dispute procedures or statutory consumer remedies.

19. Digital Product Licence

Unless otherwise stated, digital products are licensed for personal, non-commercial use.

Purchasing a digital resource does not transfer copyright ownership.

Unauthorised commercial reproduction, resale or redistribution is prohibited, subject to applicable law and statutory exceptions.

20. Recurring Payments

Dads Like Me does not currently offer recurring paid subscriptions or memberships.

Any future recurring service will require appropriate payment functionality, pricing disclosures, renewal terms, cancellation controls and compliance checks before launch.

21. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated before or after digital products are launched.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights attached to completed transactions.
